All of us know what is a stencil, many of us habitually use this technique, which allows the fast reproduction of designs, ornamental patterns, lettering... everything with exceptional precision. Making a stencil seems an easy and intuitive procedure but, if we want a perfect result,  we need to know some little "trick".

First of all, the right design. Stamperia offers a wide range of themes and different sizes for every surface: Home Deco Collection, thought to be used on furniture and walls, composed by borders, volutes, arabesques, lettering with medium and big sizes.

Home Deco Stencils are thought for your home

Classic stencils textures, perfect to create suggestive effects with the use of Stamperia pastes.

Steampunk Frame with "broken glass" effect, reproduced thanks to the application of Shiny Gel Paste (K3P04N) and  KSD244 stencil. Project: Mariadele Colombo.
Stamperia Double Stencil, paired stencils that can be overlapped to enrich projects with interesting details.

The punched shape allows the overlapping of the second stencil, to have interesting results.

Media Stencil (KSTD), thicker than others and perfect to be used with Vivace colours (KAB...) or 3D Pastes.

Media Stencils create beautiful 3D effects and garantee very precise contours.

Once you have chosen the right design, it's important to adhere the stencil to the surface by the application of the Repositionable Glue.

Brushes are an important element, too: stencil brushes, available in different sizes, are the best choice.

We must dip the brush in the colour, then remove the excess by dabbing the brush tip on the paper towel. It's now possible dabbing the brush on the stencil.

If you decide to use a paste, you have to use a metal spatula: you should spread the paste from the centre to the sides of the stencil, keeping the spatula in the horizontal position.
